The Sims 4 is still receiving new patches and updates and continues to have a significant player-base. On release, both players and critics had complaints about the game being unfinished and lacking many features that were present in the previous installments, but over time, with the release of 30+ DLCs over the years, The Sims 4 currently offers tons of content variety that lets the player customize the base game to their liking and get everything they might miss from the previous Sims games.
